Description |
The term par dpon is described in the Tshig mdzod chen mo (s.v.) as the “superintendent of those who print books” (dpe cha par rgyag mkhan gyi ’go khrid). In Cunningham 1854: 393, par dpon is called a “head printer.” In Jäschke 1881: s.v. par, par dpon has been translated as “fore-man of a printing-office.” |
